I like the design of the alien ship even though it is only a Doud projection of energy. It may or may not be fashioned after the Husnock design. The Doud being destroyed all of the Husnock so we may never find out. Let me know if anyone has an answer.

The shaking of the camera during these attack scenes is surprisingly effective, but have you ever seen one where they forgot to do that? In "Rascals" (S06E07: The one where Jean Luc, Guinan, Ensign Ro and Keiko all get turned into little kids) near the beginning of the episode when they first encounter the anomaly, the director forgot to do this and it really stands out. They're basically just bouncing up and down on their seats. I'm surprised it made it to broadcast.

The Husnock ship vs a Borg Cube and the Douwd vs Q would’ve been 2 epic battles..

Why didnt they fire that way on the Klingon ship at Veridian 3 in Star Trek Generations. Would have been a short battle.

Enterprise's return fire in this scene is sometimes what I cite when I talk about the battle in Star Trek Generations and how weak their attack was. They didn't need to find a way to trip the cloaking device, they could've just retaliated at full blast and blown the Bird of Prey up through sheer firepower.

That ship totally deleted the Enterprise's ability to defend itself, yeah only cause superficial damage. A few burnt out power relays and a few bumps and bruises...nothing that would require a layover at a starbase.

This still strikes me as one of the funniest moments in the history of animated television. The initial shock of it being a penguin. The scorn for it being a *drinking* penguin. The logical realization. The rapid realization of the logic resulting in the even greater level of shock and incredulity, as well as the Wile E. Coyote physics of the plane heeding Franklin's realization and going from horizontal to full Col. Henry Blake spinout. It's a full 14-second comedic drama with a satisfying finish. I gasped, I laughed, I cried, I'm a manic depressive.

It wasn't the actual Husnock warship. It was a a copy and was given artificially inflated combat power. The actual Husnock ship would not have been able to absorb a full volley of weapons and fire the particle energy it did.

Back when a console explosion meant that the ship took some serious damage. Not like later when some turbulence would cause control panels to explode left and right.
